Like most people, I hated the first game and I almost completely skipped Watch Dogs 2 because of it. It's hard to put into words how much more improved Watch Dogs 2 is next to the original game. It has improved and added some new modes. There's no definite goal unlike Aiden, which was revenge. The story seems to be purpose less in a way. Nothing really stands out besides Wrench. Has some nice moments but it also has some cringy moments. Driving and hacking behind is still an issue but you can control cars in front of you which is great. Sometimes you are in cover and want to get out or move, but you might get stuck. My personal favorite is the gang attacks. Too many, but as you continue the story you'll fill it up. The addition of an RC and droid opens up the world to many possibilities. This game improves on it but at the same time has taken some steps back. Watch dogs was a fun game and I like Aiden. underneath lies a pretty good game (it makes sense to me) you will be doing a lot of the same stuff, the characters are sometimes just cheesy. Overall the game still manages to be really good. before you need a break from horrible attempts humor and repetitive missions you will probably enjoy it for hour or two at a time. If you love puzzles & "hacking" you will love watch dogs 2. you do a lot of the same stuff over & over & over i saw a lot of people complain about this in mafia III. The mission structure is pretty much always the same. but it isn't even close to being bad (it could be better) probably the best looking I've seen in any video game. there's a lot of parts of this game that either 1. and i say that having really liked the first. so pardon me for not being able to really relate to the characters.Ĭharacters that appeal to 15 years olds aside. I'm getting old - so i can't relate to skinny jean wearing, back flipping, weird music and so forth. An Ubisoft game that actually got the co-op right!!! I can't overstate how much this game deserves your attention. No bland environments this time around! Oh, and I hopped on some co-op missions with my buddy.more fun than I've had in a loooong time just goofing around with each other. The game looks fantastic with lots of lush environments and detail in all the shops and interiors you go in. I love the social media aspect and how that levels your character up the more followers you have. They're very much little anarchists that are fun to be around. The characters are juvenile but so likeable. The hacking is completely overhauled in that now you have multiple options when selecting items to hack (overload, distract, set up a trap, etc). Where to begin? The driving feels so much better along the lines of Saint's Row that allowed total control over the vehicle (stop on a dime, tight turning, etc). I can't believe the amount that was improved on since the first Watch Dogs. Overall, this game left me feeling satisfied and I felt genuinely sad when I finished it as the main story was over and I could never again fully experience the joy of playing through the missions for the first time. Watch dogs 2 is a huge improvement on the first game with updated graphics, a less dark tone, more charisma in the main character and in all the characters for that matter, a more enveloping story line and many MANY more hacking abilities. This game also features much diversity as two of the main characters are black, there is another main character with autism, a transgender character and there are LGBTIQ+ flags hanging everywhere. This game is quite extraordinary with realistic characters with real seeming emotions unlike other game characters. A story you get invested in, lovable characters, comedy, action, a surprisingly accurate depiction of San Francisco, decent graphics, advanced NPC interaction to the player and to each other and yet again highly underrated multiplayer modes. Watch dogs 2 is highly underrated and I consider it to be one of the gaming greats.
